Toronto has a variety of great trails and places to run throughout the city. Here are 5 great running routes in Toronto, with something for every type of runner, whether you’re a traveler, a trail runner or a marathoner.

 

Downtown Toronto, TO Water Out n Back!

This route takes you along Queens Quay, which borders the beautiful Lake Ontario. You will also have the chance to get some sight-seeing in, running past some of Toronto's unique sights and parks, including the Toronto Music Garden, Harbourfront Centre and Exhibition Place.

This is a perfect run for runners looking to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city. On this route, you can enjoy the sights and sounds of nature on this 7km run through David A. Balfour Park, Park Drive Reservation Lands, Beltline Trail and Mount Pleasant Cemetery- all without stepping foot on public streets.

This running tour is perfect for the traveling runner (or running traveler). This route takes you past some of Toronto's sights, museums and universities, including Yonge-Dundas Square, Allan Gardens and Royal Ontario Museum- all must-sees on a visit to the city.
