Mollie is the 'Happiness Personal Trainer', a UK Athletics run coach, an Institute for Integrative Nutrition holistic health coach, and a RunGo Ambassador. Originally from Upstate NY, she has lived in London, UK for 5 years with her husband and rescued Staffie. She has been a member of RODS Racing, who raise money for orphans with Down Syndrome since 2012. At RunGo, we love Mollie's amazing ability to spread happiness and her will to help others become fit, so we asked her some questions to learn a little more about her as a runner and as a PT:

How did you get into fitness and running?

M: I started running as part of a fundraiser for the local humane society in my hometown.  A bunch of my friends formed a team and we raised a lot of money.  The big surprise was a huge hill at the end of the course!

What is your favourite place to run?

M: South Bank of the Thames River early in the morning before the tourists are out!

How does running fit into you and your client's fitness routines?

M: Currently, I am running 4 days a week as part of marathon training for Berlin Marathon in September. I have to run on my lunch breaks, as a commute, and be creative to fit it in alongside work and family life. In the UK, we also have park run on Saturday mornings too, which gets the local community together to run a non-competitive 5K.

What other exercises do you like to do to compliment running?

M: Before Berlin, I have a 100 mile sportive, which means I am clocking up the miles in the saddle too.  I also teach indoor cycling once a week.  I know I need to do more strength training, but I seem to run out of time.

What are your must-haves on your run?

M: Sunglasses, GPS watch, FitBit, Road ID band.  If it is a long slow run, I bring gels, headphones and Harry Potter audio books.
